March 2022: RAM/LCC training of the CC-Rail Academy successfully back …

Unfortunately, the high Corona incidence figures have not yet allowed a return to normality and have prevented the implementation of the RAM/LCC training as a classroom event. Although again ‘only’ as an online seminar, the CC-Rail Academy has nevertheless successfully come out of the starting blocks. In the 5-day online course, the proven training modules were covered and deepened with practical examples and exercises in the following topics:
– Relevant standards, RAM management and implementation,
– Reliability and Availability,
– FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System) and reliability growth,
– Maintainability and lifecycle costs.

And it showed: online meetings, web conferencing, and video calls took on a whole new value during the 2 years of the pandemic, and we all learned a lot. Spreading the training program over 5 days, for example, has given participants a little more leeway to get on with their day-to-day business. An extensive lunch break and smaller coffee breaks helped to keep the participants’ concentration high at all times. Technical restrictions and shyness in front of the webcam have been put aside. In the meantime, the same applies to webinars: Less presentation and pure listening, but all the more interaction through questions and discussion. The differences between face-to-face and online events have become much less significant.

So a big thank you goes to the seminar participants for their self-discipline and motivation, but also especially for the lively exchange of experiences and the great group feeling that developed during the training. The extremely positive feedback shows that all participants not only took away a lot from the training content, but also benefited greatly from the group discussion. Of course, this also applies to the trainer!

With this in mind, we look forward to 2022 and wish you all the best for the post-pandemic period.
