March 2022: RAM/LCC training of the CC-Rail Academy successfully back …

Posted by:

Unfortunately, the high Corona incidence figures have not yet allowed a return to normality and have prevented the implementation of the RAM/LCC training as a classroom event. Although again ‘only’ as an online seminar, the CC-Rail Academy has nevertheless successfully come out of the starting blocks. In the 5-day online course, the proven training modules were covered and deepened with practical examples and exercises in the following topics:
– Relevant standards, RAM management and implementation,
– Reliability and Availability,
– ...

April 2022: We are getting back to business

Posted by:

After two very slow years, things are now noticeably looking up again. First, we were happy to have a fully booked online course “Internal IRIS Auditor” in February with participants from all over the world (USA, UK, Italy, France, Croatia, Finland, Germany and Switzerland), followed in March by a seminar in German, which was also fully booked. It was a pleasure to be able to hold the IRIS Basic Course for Internal IRIS Auditor as a face-to-face event again after ...

ISO/DIS 22163 published

Posted by:

On February 15, 2022, TC 269 of the ISO published the draft standard Railway applications – Railway quality management system – ISO 9001:2015 and specific requirements for application in the railway sector. The voting terminates on May 10, 2022. Hence, it could be that the revised standard will be published still in this year. Nothing has yet been communicated about the transition periode yet. However, I’m assuming it will be three years, as usual. If you would like to better ...

A new series of topics has begun

Posted by:

In quality management, there are some topics that are only explained comprehensibly by a few and are greatly underestimated by management. Within the framework of the IRIS Academy, therefore we have started a new series of topics. So far, the topics “Configuration Management” (published in the December 2021 newsletter) and Risk and Opportunity Management (January 2022 newsletter) have been taken up. More topics will follow.

If you are interested, you can find all newsletters here.

September 2021: Two seminars held again as face-to-face events on site

Posted by:

It was a pleasure to be able to hold the IRIS basic course for Internal IRIS Auditors as well as the IRIS refresher course IRIS for Advanced as face-to-face events after a long break and thus to have moved again a bit closer to normality. As usual, the participants came from a wide variety of functional areas, including from the top management of a larger medium-sized company. The participants thanked us with above-average commitment and very good learning results. The ...

November 2020: RAM/LCC training successfully conducted as online seminar

Posted by:

Rising Covid 19 case numbers in Europe and the resulting travel and accommodation restrictions made it necessary to change the CC-Rail seminar calendar in November. The RAM/LCC training originally planned as a classroom event was converted into an online seminar at short notice in close cooperation with the participants. Once again, the modular structure of the training program with the topics RAM management and implementation, reliability, availability, maintainability and life cycle cost proved to be an important prerequisite.

Thus, during the ...

Corona forces us to change

Posted by:

Today the SARS-CoV-2 virus forces us to adapt due to the current travel restrictions. Unfortunately, classroom training courses currently offer neither for us nor for our participants sufficient planning stability. Therefore we have to adjust. From now on we exclusively offer online courses till the end of this year.
Of course this has disadvantages, but the advantages outweigh the disadvantages at the moment. We hope that our customers will still remain loyal to us, because the quality and content of ...

October 2020: We protect our customers

Posted by:

The SARS-CoV-2 virus threatens our existence, individually as well as our business. To survive economically, however, we cannot permanently lock down all our activities. We must restructure and learn to restrict ourselves and exercise caution. This is what we as IRIS Academy are doing. We protected all participants of our last RAM/LCC seminar by generally limiting our seminar groups to a maximum of 8 persons, by choosing a training room that is a bit off the main floor and big ...
